East Beats West 14-6 in 2010 Shriners Freedom Bowl Classic

In the 8th Annual Shriners Freedom Bowl Classic, the East All-Stars topped the West All-Stars 14-6.

Earlier in the day, the first Clark County Youth Football (CCYF) game ended in a 30-12 Falcons win over the Jaguars. While the second CCYF game saw the Tigers top the Beavers 19-7.

2009 Full Game Video

The 2009 Shriners Freedom Bowl Classic was once again broadcast by TV ETC and Fort Sports.

The East struck early in the 1st quarter when Heritage Timberwolve’s Ashton Clark returned a punt 45 yards for the TD and an early 6-0 lead. Later in the 1st, the West answered with a 32 yard field goal from Dan Pershall of La Center.

Following a scoreless 2nd quarter, the game looked to be on it’s way to a great finish. However, the East wanted nothing to do with a close finish and outscored the West 26-0 on their way to a 32-3 win.

FBC Welcoms Kelso/Longview

The Shriners Freedom Bowl Classic is proud to announce the addition of 3 Cowlitz County high schools to our summer football game.

Kelso, Mark Morris and R.A. Long will become members of the West squad joining Columbia River, Fort Vancouver, Hudson’s Bay, La Center, Ridgefield, Skyview and Woodland.

The East squad now is comprised of players from Battle Ground, Camas, Evergreen, Heritage, Hockinson, Mountain View, Prairie, Stevenson, Union and Washougal.
